The successor of the Samsung Galaxy A11 announced, it is the most beautiful looking in its price segment. The Samsung Galaxy A12 has arrived in style to replace its predecessor. The phone got a nice looking treatment along with improvements. The key improvement took place in the SoC, now it is more capable than the Snapdragon 450. Though the company has not shared SoC details it has all Helio P35 configurations. Further, it shifted from tripe camera sensor to quad-camera sensor and side-mounted fingerprint scanner. First thing first, the whole phone built into a 164×75.8×8.9 (mm) dimension and weighs around 205g. While at the upfront, it has a 6.5″ TFT display with a waterdrop notch. Underneath the notch, there it has an 8MP selfie camera sensor. Whereas, at the rear, it has a square-shaped camera module consisting of a quad-camera setup. The setup contains a 48MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro sensor.
Under the hood, it has an octa-core system from MediaTek Helio P35. That has been configured as 4X Cortex-A53 CPU cores at 2.3GHz and 4X Cortex-A53 at 1.8GHz processed in a 12nm process. Further, it bundled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU and 6GB RAM alongside the 128GB onboard storage. The system runs on Samsung’s OneUI 2.0 based on Android 10. While the system has been fueled by a 5000mAh battery with a 15W charging mechanism built to the phone.
As far as the connectivity options are concerned it retains all the connectivity features from the predecessor.
Price and Availability
As the phone shipped with Knox security it won’t be cheap, however, it priced EUR 179 for the 64GB variant. While the top variant 128GB option is EUR 20 more. As far as the storage option is concerned it has 3GB+32GB, 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB storage options. Apart from the storage, the phone let you choose between four colour options from White, Red, Blue and Black.
