Amid the preparation of the company’s flagship Huawei Mate 40 series launch, the company silently announced the Huawei Y7a. While the phone will be available in the several Asian markets including Malaysia as well as in the Latin Americal markets. Going by the phone – it is rebagged from the recently launched Huawei P Smart 2021. There is hardly and differences between the phone except for the moniker and price tag. Physically the phone measures 165.5.65×76.88×9.26 (mm) in dimensions. While at the upfront, it built around an FHD+ resolution LCD IPS display of size 6.67″ with a hole-punch at the top centre. Underneath the hole-punch, there it has an 8MP selfie camera sensor. And around the back, there it has a vertically aligned rectangular-shaped camera module with an LED flashlight built into it. As per the camera configuration, it has a quad-camera setup of a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and two auxiliary 2MP cameras of a depth sensor and macro camera sensor. The fingerprint scanner can be found on the right side of the phone built into the power button.
Under the hood, there it has the same system found in the Honor 10X Lite Huawei MatePad T10 and others. It was the Kirin 710A chipset which was manufactured by the SMIC. Further, it bundled with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The system on the phone runs on EMUI 10.1 OS based on Android 10. While the system has been fueled by a 5000mAh battery that draws power through a 22.5W charging mechanism built with the phone.
As far as the connectivity options are concerned, the phone has Dual-SIM supported 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity. Whereas, the rest of the connectivity option including a USB Type-C 2.0 Port, Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5mm traditional headphone jack, and other required sensors including GPS, Gyro, e-compass etc.
Price, storage, and availability
The phone has arrived in the market in a single storage option, while the phone offers three colour options. The memory of the device configured as 4GB+128GB. Whereas, the colour option let you choose between Crush Green, Midnight Black, and Blush Gold. As per the price tag, the phone has been offered at RM 799 (around ₹14,200) while it will be available in the mentioned market places.
