Huawei Mate 40 Pro Press-render released, tops SD 865 Plus in performance
After severely affected by the US sanctions the Chinese tech giant Huawei preparing for a flagship Android smartphone. This to be debuted as the top Google-free Android flagship, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro. Just after the launch of Huawei Mate 40, the leaks for the Mate 40 Pro ranted up. Almost everything we need to know about the phone surfaced even before the announcement. The press-render emerges many speculations, however, none of these leaks is officially confirmed.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro Features
Upfront, the device is built around a QHD+ resolution OLED display of size 6.76″ inch with zero-bezel from left to right. Further, the screen can be seen with a dual hole-punch cut, underneath it contains a 13MP main camera sensor accompanied by a 3D mapping sensor. For the biometric authentications, it uses an optical-fingerprint scanner placed at the bottom half of the device.
Around the back, there it sports a ring-shaped camera module consisting of a triple-camera setup a 3D mapping sensor and an LED flash. The rear camera setup developed in partnership with LEICA OPTICS. The module combines a 50MP main camera, a 20MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera sensors. That lets you record videos at 8K resolutions and 5X optical zooming.
The last Kirin SoC by TSMC
Under the hood, it has an octa-core system from Huawei’s subsidiary HiSilicon Kirin 9000. The rumours surrounding finds that the latest Kirin 9000 tops the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 Plus in performance. However, this is the last SoC manufactured by TSMC before the US sanctions strike Huawei. The Kirin 9000 is configured as 1X Cortex-A77 CPU core at 3.13GHz & 3X Cortex-A77 CPU cores at 2.54GHz and 4X Cortex-A55 CPU cores at 2.04GHz fabricated in the 5nm process. Further, it bundled with Mali-G78 GPU and probably it has only sub-6GHz bands support.
There is no further info about the support of mmWave, hence the Huawei Mate 40 Pro will not be a true 5G smartphone. The system on the device runs on EMUI 11.x based on Android 10 OS. While the system fueled by a 4,400mAh battery that draws power through a 65W charging mechanism on a USB Type-C 3.1 port. For the storage, it bundled with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB internal storage of type UFS 3.1. However, in Europe, it will be shipped with 8GB RAM variant.
As far as the connectivity are concerned, it has sub-6GHz 5G band support, Wi-Fi 6. Whereas, the rest connectivity includes USB Type-C port 3.1, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and other required sensors.
