OnePlus ‘Clover’ Budget killer? with Snapdragon 460 soon launching in US

Forget about the OnePlus Nord which was launched in India alongside European countries. That was one of the most affordable 5G phone available in the industry outside China at the time of launch. The same company OnePlus is known for the flagship killer, that already puts big player like Samsung to shame. Now the phone is reportedly working on a budget phone code-named under the OnePlus ‘Clover’.

Earlier the “Clover” was spotted on a benchmarking platform with different SoC at the helm. It was Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, the new development slew to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 and HD+ display. Not that really disappointing with $200 price point alongside the 6000mAh battery and OnePlus brand. The launch of the phone in the US is sooner then we are expecting it is around the near corner.

It had better arrive with Snapdragon 660 or 665 so that it can stand out beside the existing competitors. The development of the phone is towards the US where the quality matters for $200 for Snapdragon 460 does not matter at all when the phone backed by the company like OnePlus. However, the reportedly debut to the global market shortly after its launch in the US. Outside the US, India could be a big market since the company already doing well with the OnePlus Nord.

OnePlus ‘Clover’ Features and Specs (rumoured)

Upfront, the device is built around an HD+ resolution LCD display of size 6.52″ inch. Around the back, there you have an array of triple camera sensors. It may include a 13MP main sensor, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. While the front-facing camera module is yet to be known.

Under the hood, according to the latest development there you have the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 460 SoC. Paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. Further, the storage expansion option will be there through a microSD card. The system on the device is running on some sort of Oxigen OS on the top of Android 10. While the system gets fuel through a 6000mAh battery that has 18W fast charging support onboard.

Connectivity-wise the phone will be dual 4G SIM supported with dual VoLTE support and the dual-band Wi-Fi. The other connectivity could include a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, fingerprint scanner either side-mounted or rear-mounted etc.
