This week Oppo A53 got listed for pre-order in an online retailer in Indonesia. Not to be confused with the old Oppo A53 which was launched back in 2015. The new A53 more relates to the Oppo A52 which was launch in April this year. Shortly after the phone got listed for pre-order in Indonesia, Oppo India has revealed the launch date in the country. Though the Oppo India has not shared many details, we got everything we need to know about the phone. However, the phone was already in the rumours since the certification process. Oppo A53 Features and Specs
Upfront, the device is built around an HD+ resolution LTPS Neo display of Size 6.5″ inch with 90Hz refresh rate. Besides, a punch hole on the top left and the speaker grill on top. Underneath the punch hole, there you have a 16MP selfie camera sensor capable of taking 1080p videos at 30fps. While at the rear side of the phone, we have an array of tripe camera sensors vertically aligned beside an LED flash and the fingerprint scanner. The camera module consists of a 13MP main sensor, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.
Under the hood, the device has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 460 SoC. Further, the SoC combines 4XKyro 240 at 1.8GHz & 4XKyro 240 at 1.6GHz CPU cores fabricated in the 11nm process. Further, it bundled with Adreno 610 GPU and LPDDR4x RAM. The system runs on ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10 while it fueled by a 5000mAh battery that has 18W fast charging mechanism supported.
As far as the connectivity is concerned, the phone has 4G LTE alongside dual-band Wi-Fi. Other connectivity includes USB Type-C connector, 3.5mm Audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, fingerprint scanner rear-mounted, and other necessary sensors including GPS, Proximity, etc.
Price and availability
The phone is available at Rp 2,499,000 (around ₹12,700) for 4GB-46GB storage configuration in Indonesia. In India, it could be between ₹13,000 to ₹14,499 for the same storage configuration. Oppo India has not revealed any price details but the launch date. The launch will take place on August 25 at 12:30 PM IST.
