OnePlus was known for its “T” lineups. In the present time, Xiaomi has launched more handsets with “T” lineup than the OnePlus. Finally, the Redmi Note 9 5G series has been escaped from its homeland. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T 5G alongside the Redmi 9T/NFC launched globally at an attractive price point with MediaTek powered Dimensity 800U chipset. Going by the handset it is a perfect blend between performance and entertainment at the budget price point. Furthermore, this becomes the first-ever 5G Redmi Note Smartphone launched globally.

At the upfront, the handset is built around an FHD+ resolution LCD IPS display of size 6.53″ inches in diagonal with a punch hole at the top left corner. While underneath the punch hole, there is a room for a 13MP selfie camera sensor. Whereas, at the rear, the handset has a circular shaped camera module with an LED flashlight built into it and holding triple camera sensors. The camera sensors are of a 48MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP auxiliary camera sensor. The fingerprint sensor made its way to the right side of the handset built into the power key, i.e side mounted.

The system on the handset has been powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset. Further, it equipped with 5G networking, Mali-G57 MP3 GPU, and 4GB of RAM. The system on the handset has been running on MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out of the box. Meanwhile, the system has been fueled by a 5000mAh battery further capable of charging at 18W speed.

As far as the connectivity options are concerned it has 5G support, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C 2.0 port, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.1 and other required sensors.

Price and availability

The company brought the handset in two storage options as such 4GB+64GB & 4GB+128GB. Besides, the handset also available in two colour options to choose from Nightfall Black & Daybreak Purple. For an early bird, the handset has been priced at EUR 199 (around ₹17,800) for the base model 4GB+64GB. Whereas, the model has a regular price of EUR 229 (around ₹20,500). While the 4GB+128GB model has been priced at EUR 249 (around ₹22,300) for an early bird. The regular price tag for the 4GB+128GB model is EUR 269 (around ₹24,100).
