Last month the Chinese Tech Tecno has announced three smartphones in the Camon series. The series includes Tecno Camon 16, Camon 16 Pro and Camon 16 Premier. Tecno Camon 16 among them which unveiled in India recently on October 8, debuted as the cheapest 64MP quad-camera smartphone in India. Alongside the Xiaomi and Realme, Tecno is another Chinese brand that keeps improving its presents in India. The price tag for the phone is for entry-level smartphones, but it packs mid-range level features.

Tecno Camon 16 Price and availability
The smartphone unveiled in India on October 8 and scheduled to be unleashed on October 16. The same day as the Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sales begins. It arrived in a single storage option, configured as 4GB+64GB storage. Besides the storage option there you have two colour options to choose from Cloud White and Purist Blue. It has debuted as the cheapest 64MP camera phone in India, with a price tag of ₹10,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant. In future, the company could introduce more storage options like 4GB+128GB or 6GB+64GB.
Features and Specifications
Upfront, there it builds around an HD+ resolution LCD display of size 6.8″ inch with a hole-punch at the top left corner. Underneath the hole, there it has a 16MP selfie camera sensor along with shoulder LED flash. Around the back, there it has a square-shaped camera module and a fingerprint scanner below that. The camera module combines a 64MP main camera sensor, a 2MP depth camera sensor, a 2MP macro camera sensor and an AI camera sensor.
Under the hood, there it has an octa-core system from MediaTek Helio G70. The system combines 2X Cortex-A75 at 2.0GHz & 6X Cortex-A55 at 1.7GHz CPU cores fabricated in the 12nm process. Further, it bundled with Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU and 4GB of RAM along with the 64GB internal storage capacity. Furthermore, there it has external storage expansion support through a dedicated microSD card slot. The system on the phone running on HIOS 6.0 based on Android 10 OS. While the system fueled by a 5000mAh battery, that draws power through an 18W charging mechanism.
As per the connectivity, the phone has dual 4G LTE/VoLTE support and dual-band Wi-Fi. The other connectivity options include a MicroUSB port, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, Fingerprint scanner, GPS and more.
