Vivo Y51s Goes official: A slightly toned-down version of Vivo Y70s
In the affordable price range, the chines tech giant Vivo has launched yet another 5G smartphone in the home country(China). A few months back, Vivo has released Vivo Y70s which was a bit bland in between price and the features. The same phone is rebranded as the Vivo Y51s. Which is a slightly toned-down version of the Vivo Y70s as well as less in price than the predecessor. Let’s have a brief introduction of the phone below.

Vivo Y51s Features and Specs
Starting from the upfront, the phone has a FullHD+ IPS LCD display of size 6.53″ inch with a single punch hole in the top left. While having a 19.5:9 aspect ratio viewing experience alongside 84.4% screen to body ratio. Beneath the punch hole, there is an 8MP selfie camera sensor, capable of taking 1080p videos at 30fps. While on the rear side of the phone, there you will find a vertically-aligned camera setup of triple sensors. The setup consists of a 48MP main camera sensor, a 2MP macro camera sensor, and a 2MP depth camera sensor.
Under the hood, there is an octa-core processor from Samsung’s Exynos 880. Further, the processor combines 2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A77 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A76 CPU cores fabricated in an 8nm process. Besides, the processor coupled with Mali G76 GPU and 6GB LPDDR4x RAM alongside UFS 2.1 secondary storage type. The system runs on Funtouch OS 10.5 on the top Android 10. While the whole system is fueled by a 4500mAh battery which has 18W fast charging support onboard.
In terms of connectivity, the phone has 5G supported alongside all the network backward incompatibilities. Further, the have connectivity options including micro USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, Side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and all other standard connectivity options as well as sensors.
Price, Variant, and Availability
There are hardly any major downgrades than the predecessor except an 8MP ultrawide camera sensor on the rear and an 8MP selfie camera sensor instead of a 16MP and micro up instead of a USB Type-C port. The rest of the phone Vivo Y51s look exactly similar to the predecessor. The phone priced at CNY 1798 (roughly ₹19,200) for the 6GB-128GB variant. It is expected to be available on in single storage variant alongside three color options to choose from Black, Blue, and Ceramic White. According to the Vivo official (china), the phone will go on sale on July 29 onwards.
