The Oppo welcomes a new family member to the Oppo A series in India. It is the Oppo A12, which makes its way to the Indian Smartphone market of entry-level phones. The phone features a dual-camera setup on the rear, a waterdrop notch on the top at the front. The competition is very high as the competitors already doing great in the market. The biggest competitor of the are Realme C3, Realme Nazro 10, Samsung Galaxy M11, and Redmi 8.

The phone features a 6.22″ inches HD+ display of TFT screen. Further, on the screen, you will find a notch on the top. While the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Besides, the screen has 450nits of peak brightness with 270ppi pixel density. Beneath the waterdrop notch, there is a 5MP front-facing camera sensor responsible for taking selfies. While on the back-side of the phone, there is a dual-camera setup which consists of a 13MP main camera sensor and a 2MP depth camera sensor.
Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor. The processor combines 4X2.35GHz Cortex-A53 and 4X1.8GHz Cortex-A53 cores combination of 12nm fabrication technology. Besides, the processor coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU and a maximum of 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The phone runs on ColorOS 6.1 on the top of Android 9 out of the box. There is a 4,230mAh of battery that powers the system with no fast charging capability.
As far as the connectivity options are concerned, the phone includes 4G LTE network capability which supports 7 4G bands. Further, it includes a micro USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, OTG, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and others.
Price, variant, and availability
The price of the phone starts from ₹9,990 for the base variant which is 3GB+32GB, while the top variant 4GB+64GB costs a little higher ₹11,490.
In terms of variants, it has two variants 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB storage configuration. Further, the storage can be expandable via a microSD card up to 512GB. While the phone is available in two color options to choose from Textured Black and Textured Blue.
The phone will be available to purchase after June 21 on online retail as well as offline retail.
