Xiaomi Redmi 9 Officially Unveiled in Spain: Price, Features, Availability

Earlier the phone listed on an e-retail website before its official launch. Now, the Xiaomi Redmi 9 officially makes its way to the launch. The launch took place in Spain reveals its availability in the market and introduces some new features of the phone. The new features include Kaleidoscope and palm gestures, 18W Quick charge 3.0, and more.

The phone features a 6.53″ inches fullHD+ (2340X1080 pixels) display with a waterdrop notch on the top. Further, the screen of the phone is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has 400nits of peak brightness along with color temperature adjustments. Behind the waterdrop notch, there is an 8MP front-facing camera. Further, the front-facing camera is optimized with AI, which enables the AI Face Unlock security feature. While coming to the backside of the phone, there is a Quad Camera setup resides along with the fingerprint scanner. The Quad Camera setup consists of a 13MP primary sensor of a wide-angle camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera sensor, a 5MP macro camera sensor, and lastly a 2MP depth camera sensor. It is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps and 720p videos at 30fps.

Under the hood, there is a Media Tek Helio G80 octa-core processor. The processor is the combination of ARM’s 2X2.0 Cortex-A75 cores and 6X1.7 Cortex-A55 cores, which is fabricated in 12nm architecture. Further, the processor coupled with a Mali G52 MC2 GPU of 950MHz frequency. In terms of memory, the phone supports LPDDR4x RAM(main memory) and eMM 5.1 onboard storage (secondary memory). Apart from the processor and memory, the phone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top. Besides, there is a 5,020mAh battery that powers the system. The system supports 18W Quick Charge 3.0 technology. A 10W power adapter ships in the box.

As far as the connectivity is concerned, the phone includes a wide range of 4G LTE bands supports along with 3G and 2G connectivity. The band includes LTE-FDD: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28, LTE-TDD version 1: B38/40/41 (2540-2640MHz), and LTE-TDD version 2: B38/40. While the other connectivity options are, Wi-Fi, NFC, FM Radio, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and more. Additionally, a distance sensor included in the device.

Price, variant, availability

Official Spain’s launch of the phone unveils the price of the which is EUR 149 (roughly ₹12,800) for the base variant which is 3GB+32GB variant. While the 4GB+64GB variant priced at EUR 179(roughly ₹15,300). However, there is an ongoing offer, the pre-order of the device costs EUR 139(roughly ₹11,900) for the base variant and EUR 169(roughly ₹14,500) for the 4GB+64GB variant.

The phone will go on sale on or before 18th June, furthermore, it will be available on online-retails as well as offline retails. The online-retails including Mi.com, Amazon, Phone House and other similar e-retail web sites. The phone will be available in three beautiful color options to choose from Carbon Grey, Sunset Purple, and Ocean Green.

As of now, there are no words related to the Indian launch, however, the phone will be available globally.
