Before Redmi 9 makes its way to the official launch, it listed on an e-retail website. Which reveals pretty much you need to know about the device. The phone falls under the lower-midrange category and will compete against Realme C3 and Samsung’s Galaxy M11 in the market. Though it falls under the lower-midrange category it delivers a few premium features like Quad Camera, bigger battery, and FullHD+ resolution.

Redmi 9 Features and Specs
The phone features a 6.53″ inches of an LCD screen with a waterdrop notch on the top. Beneath the notch, there is an 8MP front-facing camera sensor responsible for taking selfies. While on the back of the phone, there you will find a Quad camera setup. The camera unit consists of a 13MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera sensor, a 5MP macro camera sensor, and lastly a 2MP depth camera sensor.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor. The processor combination of 2X2.0GHz Cortex-A75 and 6X1.7GHz Cortex-A55 cores of 12nm fabrication. Besides, the processor comes with a Mali-G52 GPU and a maximum of 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The phone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top. There is a massive 5020mAh battery that powers the system. Further, the system is backed by an 18W fast charging support.
In terms of connectivity, the phone still uses 4G LTE network support. The rest connectivity options including USB Type-C port, 3.5mm Audio Jack, GPS, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, and others.
Price, variant, and Availability
The phone got listed on a Philipines e-retail website, in which the phone cost around PHP 6,990 for the base variant. While the top variant 4GB+64GB costs around PHP 7,490.
In terms of variant, it has two storage variant 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB storage configuration. The phone is available in three colour options to choose from Grey, Green, and Purple.
The Redmi 9 is not yet officially announced by the company. The phone even got listed before the rumoured launch. Hence, the availability of the phone remains unknow until the official launch.
