Oppo Reno4 and Reno4 Pro to Enter Indian Market, Price and Features

After numerous leaks and teasers, the company finally releases two new 5G equipped smartphones in China. The series Oppo Reno includes two new members Oppo Reno4 and Reno4 Pro. Both of these phones are 5G equipped, 65W fast charging support, and many other premium features. During the launch event, the company shares a few words about the Indian launch of the series.

Oppo Reno4 Series Features and Specs

The Oppo Reno 4 features a 6.5″ inches FullHD+ AMOLED display with a punch hole on the top left corner. Further, the screen supports 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ compliant with 500nits of brightness, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Along with that the screen and the back body of the phone are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

Beneath the punch hole, there is a 32MP front-facing camera sensor responsible for taking selfies. Besides, on the rear side of the phone, you will find a triple camera setup. The camera setup consists of a 48MP main camera sensor, that comes with LDAF(laser detection autofocus) and OIS(optical image stabilization) onboard. While the rest two of them are a 13MP telephoto lens having 2X optical zooming capability, and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor.

Reno 4 display and camera

As compared to the Reno 4 Pro, the Reno 4 has some downgrades on the display department. The phone features a slightly smaller screen than the Reno 4 Pro. The Reno 4 has 6.43″ inches of FullHD+ AMOLED screen having a dual punch hole on the top left corner. Further, the screen lacks the support of 90Hz display and HDR10+ support while the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and an in-display fingerprint scanner still present.

Beneath the punch-hole, there you will find a dual set of a front-facing camera. The camera setup consisting of a 32MP primary camera and a 2MP depth camera sensor. While on the back you will find the came camera setup used in Reno 4 Pro.

Reno4 Series performance and connectivity

Since both of the phones has the heart under the hood. The heart of the phone is a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor. The processor combination of 1×2.4 GHz Kryo 475 Prime & 1×2.2 GHz Kryo 475 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 475 Silver cores of 7nm architecture configuration. Besides, the processor comes with Adreno’s 620 GPU and supports LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage type. The phone runs on Android 10 with ColorOS 7.2 on top. Furthermore, the Reno 4 series packs a 4000mAh battery with 65W charging support.

In terms of connectivity, both of the phones are 5G compliant with 7 5G bands. While the other connectivity options including USB Type-C port of gen 3.1, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS and others.

Price, variant, and availability

The Oppo Reno 4 gets a price tag of CNY 2,999 for the base variant while the reno 4 pro gets a price tag of CNY 3,799 for the base variant.

In terms of storage variant, the Reno 4 comes in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB configuration, while the Reno 4 Pro comes in 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB configuration. The Reno 4 comes in three color options to choose from Galactic Blue, Space Blue, and Taro Purple, while the Reno 4 Pro comes in Galactic Blue, Sparkling Red, and Space white color options the choose from.

The sale will go on after June 12 in china, though there are no words for the global launch. However, the company did say that the Indian variant of the series Reno 4 will get some exclusive features based on the Indian market. Though the price for the Indian variant is yet unknown. The phone could price around ₹30,000 for the base variant of Reno 4. While the Reno 4 Pro could be ₹45,000 for the base variant.
