Motorola Moto G9 to go on sale on August 31 with snapdragon 662
Back in March this year Lenovo Motorola had launched Moto G8, a mid-ranger in the market. Since then, they are working on the successor of the phone. Here in India Motorola had unveiled the successor that had dubbed as Motorola Moto G9. The phone is set to go on sale on August 31 at 12 PM (local time). Nokia 5.3 will be the closest rival of the Moto G9 that also offering a similar kind of specs with a higher price point. Nokia always ahead of competitors in the optics department but the newly launched Moto G9 likely to counter this. The company had said their Quad Pixel technology to help capture clear images even in low light conditions. Anyways let’s have an introduction to the phone below.

Motorola Moto G9 Features and Specs
Upfront, the phone is built around an HD+ IPS LCD display of size 6.5″ inch beside a waterdrop notch and the speaker grill on the top. Further, the screen gives you a 20:9 aspect ratio viewing experience built on Max Vision technology beside 82.2% screen-t0-body ratio. Beneath the notch, there you have an 8MP selfie camera sensor that is capable of taking 1080p videos at 30fps. While on the backside of the phone, we got a plastic body with a square-shaped camera module and the fingerprint scanner built on the moto logo. The camera module consists of tripe camera sensors and an LED flash. The sensors are a 48MP main sensor, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.
Under the hood, there you have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662 SoC. The SoC combines 8XKyro 260 CPU at 2.0GHz fabricated in the 11nm process. Further, it bundled with Adreno 610 GPU and max 4GB RAM alongside 64GB onboard storage capacity. Furthermore, the storage capacity is expandable via a microSD card. The system runs on Android 10 which fueled by a 5000mAh battery. That support 20W TurboPower fast charging mechanism onboard.
Connectivity-wise the phone has 4G LTE support alongside dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Other connectivity includes USB Type-C connector, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm Audio jack, Fingerprint scanner rear-mounted and other sensors including GPS, GLONASS, etc.
Price and availability
The company had set the price of the Moto G9 at ₹11,499 (around $155) for the 4GB-64GB storage combination. Though it was a pretty good move, the Redmi Note 9 could spoil the game since the Motorola is no more an American company. The phone will be available for purchase via online Retail Flipkart on August 31 at 12 PM onwards. The phone has two colour options to choose from Forest Green and Sapphire Blue.
