Honor, the subsidiary of Huawei is gearing up for a mid-range smartphone in the Europian market. Due to the US sanctions on Huawei, HiSilicon stopped producing Kirin chipsets. Now, the future Huawei smartphone will be using Kirin chips manufactured in Shanghai-based Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. or SMIC. The phone going to debut as the Honor 10X Lite in Europe. As of now, there is no further info about the availability outside Europian regions. Followed by the US sanctions, this Honor 10X Lite will have no Google Play support instead it has Huawei’s AppGallery.

Honor 10X Lite Features
Upfront, the device is built around an FHD+ resolution IPS LCD display of size 6.67″ inch with a hole-punch at the top centre. Underneath the pole-punch, there it has an 8MP selfie camera. While around the back, there is a rectangular-shaped camera module consisting of a quad-camera setup and an LED flash. The camera module combines a 48MP main camera sensor, an 8MP Ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The biometric scanner aka the fingerprint scanner could be found on the shoulder embedded into the power button.
Under the hood, there is has an octa-core system from HiSilicon Kirin 710A. The SoC configured as 2X Cortex-A73 at 2.0GHz & 6X Cortex-A53 at 1.7GHz CPU cores fabricated in the 14nm process by SMIC. Further, it bundled with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU and 4GB RAM possibly LPDDR4x, alongside 128GB on internal storage. The system on the phone runs on MagicUI 3.1 based on Android 10 OS. While it fueled by a 5000mAh battery, which draws power though a 22.5W charging mechanism.
As per the connectivity, it will be a dual SIM supported 4G LTE phone with dual-band Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 5) connectivity. Whereas, the rest of the connectivity options includes a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, E-Compass and more.
Price and availability
Last month Huawei P Smart 2021 was unveiled, the Honor 10X Lite has quite similar features. The P Smart 2021 was introduced for EUR 229 (around ₹19,700) for the 4GB+128GB model. Whereas, the Honor 10X Lite has a similar treatment as the P Smart 2021 except for the camera module. The leak unveils two colour options of phone Forest Green and Black. As far as the price is concerned Honor was the cheaper variant of Huawei devices. Hence, the Honor 10X Lite could be priced around EUR 200 (around ₹17,000).
