Moto G 5G Plus Launched: Motorola’s First Mid-range 5G Phone

After the numerous leaks and rumors, Motorola finally launched Moto G 5G Plus in Europe as the cheapest 5G phone. Motorola was working on 5G for a long time than anyone else in the industry. The last premium 5G phone from Motorola was Moto Edge Plus. And now they are bringing 5G technology to the Moto G series. This Moto G 5G series makes the 5G phone most affordable. Thus it makes 5G more accessible in the 5G world. However, the phone is skipping the launch in the US market. When it is additionally launching in these countries like UK, UAE, and Saudi Arabia in the coming months. There are no words whether the phone will launch in India or not. Since the latest flagship of Motorola Moto Edge+ already in the Indian market, we can expect this device to be launch in forthcoming months.

Moto G 5G Plus Features and Specs

Starting from the upfront, there are a FullHD+ LTPS display of 6.7″ inches with a dual punch-hole on the top left. Besides, the screen is HDR10 compliment with 90Hz refresh rate and 21:9 aspect ratio viewing experience. Under the punch-holes, there is a 16MP ultrawide selfie camera sensor and an 8MP selfie camera sensor resides. While on the back it is a plastic glossy back panel with water repellent coating. Besides, there is a camera unit of quad-cameras alongside a verticle shaped LED flash. The camera unit consists of a 48MP main camera sensor, a 5MP micro camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera sensor, and a 2MP depth camera sensor.

Under the hood, it is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor. The processor is a combination of 1×2.4 GHz Kryo 475 Prime & 1×2.2 GHz Kryo 475 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 475 Silver cores fabricated in a 7nm process. Further, it is coupled with Adreno 620 GPU and 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with secondary storage of 128GB of type UFS 2.1. The system runs on Android 10 OS while the system backed by a 5000mAh battery which further capable of 20W fast charging in system.

In terms of connectivity, the phone has full-fledged 5G networking support. Since the Snapdragon 765G ships with X52 5G modem, it supports both mmWave and sub-6GHz bands. Furthermore, the phone includes a USB Type-C connecter, 3.5mm audio jack, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Side-mounted fingerprint scanner, FM Radio, and others.

Price, Variant, and Availability

The phone is goes official on 8th July in Europe with two storage variant types. The phone selling at 349 EUR (roughly ₹29,500) for the base variant 4GB-64GB. While the top variant price set for 399 EUR (roughly ₹33,700) for the 6GB-128GB storage variant. The phone is available in a single color option Surfing Blue. Furthermore, the phone will go on sale UAE, and Saudi Arabia in the coming months. Soon it will hit in the Indian market as the Moto G has a quite large loyal fanbase.
