OnePlus 8T 5G set to launch in India on October 14 with Snapdragon 865
A tipster had predicted the arrival of the new instalment of the OnePlus a few days back. Now, the company has started teasing its arrival, featuring the brand ambassador Robert Downey Jr. Apart from the existence the company had not revealed anything, but the launch date has been confirmed. That was tricky to find, but we have made it. The new instalment from the OnePlus is going to debut as the OnePlus 8T 5G. That will be unleashed on October 14 in India and in some part of the European countries.
The company has set up a quiz on the Amazon India page. While reading the rules for the quiz competition we have found the launch date of the phone as well the RAM capacity of the phone. Apart from the launch date and the RAM capacity, the render of the phone has been surfaced. It reveals the design aspect as well as the key details of the phone, like the camera module and the display design. Around the back, it resembles the Samsung Galaxy A series design philosophy. It has the rectangular-shaped camera module consisting of the quad-camera sensor aligned in the “L” shape.

The rumours surround suggesting the existence of a special edition of the OnePlus 8T that will feature the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+ SoC at the helm. Let’s have an introduction the regular OnePlus 8T 5G variant.
Upfront, the device is built around an FHD+ resolution Fluid AMOLED display of size 6.5″ inch. Besides, the screen has a punch hole at the top left corner and the 120Hz refresh rate support. Further, the Corning Gorilla Glass protection will be there beside the HDR10+ support and 240Hz sampling rate. Furthermore, the in-display fingerprint scanner will be placed underneath the display at the bottom half. Anyway, underneath the punch hole, there it has the 32MP selfie camera sensor capable of taking 4K videos at 30fps and extend the support of slow-motion capture. Around the back, there you have a rectangular-shaped camera module consisting of a 48MP main camera, a 16MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro shooter and a 2MP depth sensor.
Under the hood, it has an octa-core system from Snapdragon 865 SoC. That has the configuration of 1X Kyro 585 CPU at 2.84GHz & 3X Kyro 585 CPU at 2.42GHz & 4X Kyro 585 CPU at 1.8GHz fabricated in the 7nm process. Whereas, it bundled with Adreno 650 GPU and LPDDR5 RAM alongside the UFS 3.0 storage support. The system on the phone will be running on the OxigenOS 11 based on the Android 11. While it gets fuel from a 4500mAh battery that draws power through a 65W charging mechanism.
Connectivity side, it has the full-fledged support of sub-6GHz 5G bands along with the Wi-Fi 6. The rest connectivity includes USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.2, in-display fingerprint scanner and the necessary sensors including the GPS, Gyro etc.
