Nubia Red Magic 5S: Redefined cooling system gets a performance boost
The tech giants are rushing to get Snapdragon 865 Plus sooner than later. Meanwhile, Nubia Red Magic 5S goes official with Snapdragon 865 non-plus edition in China. However, the phone has got an improved cooling system than its predecessor. That brings a performance boost in the GPU as well as in the CPU. Except for the redefined cooling system rest of the phone is quite similar to its predecessor Red Magic 5G. It definitely a surprise for Nubia fans, as competitors like ROG Phone 3, Legion Phone, Black Shark 3S are getting overclocked Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC(s). The Snapdragon 865 Plus edition enables up to 3.1GHz CPU frequency while the non-plus edition has 2.84GHz. But still, it outperforms the predecessor with a higher ranking in the ANTUTU Benchmarking score.

What’s new in the cooling system?
Nubia Red Magic 5G is the first phone to have the dual cooling tech, active cooling with turbofans as well as passive cooling copper pipes with liquid coolant. But the new Nubia Red Magic 5S goes beyond that. It not only retains the 16000RPM active cooling turbofans but it also improves the passive cooling system. A silver-plated heat sink is added between the black shell and the battery covering a large area. A total of 6 types of cooling tech integrated into a single place. Windy with turbofans, liquid cooling tubes, high thermal conductivity copper foil, thermal gel, and heat dissipation graphites. These all together make a huge boost in performance without having the overclocked SoC. The Lenovo Legion Phone scores 648871 points while the Red Magic 5S scores 659586 points. Thus the Nubia really deserves appreciations.
