Galaxy M02 with Snapdragon 450, 3GB RAM spotted on GeekBench
The Samsung Galaxy M02 is around in the rumours for quite some time. The predecessor Galaxy M01 is quite popular among non-Chinese smartphone in India in the entry-level segment. The successor, M02 will be joining the family very soon as it already bags many certifications including Bluetooth SIG certification, Wi-Fi Alliance etc carries the model number SM-M025F. Now it has appeared in the GeekBench listing, hence we can assume the launch of the phone is around the corner.

As the phone visits GeekBench, we have a fresh update about the phone. The phone has managed to score 128 with single-core and 486 points with multi-cores. At the helm, the system is an octa-core system with a base frequency of 1.8GHz and runs on Android 10 based OS. Further speculation ends up being the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 SoC, which has the same configuration as a similar level of performance. That is also an octa-core system fabricated in the 14nm LPP process. The Snapdragon 460 also come in the same configuration but with higher efficiency. Hence, it ends up being the Snapdragon 450.
Further, the Galaxy M02 is built around an HD+ resolution 5.7″ inch display with a waterdrop notch on top. Underneath the notch there it has an 8MP selfie camera, while around the back it has a dual-camera setup. The rear camera setup consists of a 13MP main camera sensor and an auxiliary 2MP depth camera sensor. The system on the device runs on Samsung’s OneUI 2.0 based on Android 10 OS. The Samsung Galaxy M02 and the Galaxy A02 shares similar specifications. We can’t say which model rebranded to which, basically it is the same phone with a different moniker for different market places. In India, it will be the M02, while the Galaxy A02 will be for other market places. As both the phones bags major certifications, the launch of the phones is sooner than expected.
