Galaxy S20 Lite Will Continue The Legacy of Galaxy S10 Lite

Earlier this year Samsung has introduced with Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite. Now, some reports suggested that Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S20 Lite soon. Before coming to the Galaxy S20 Lite lets find out why Samsung wants to continue this legacy. The Galaxy S10 Lite is not lite in terms of performance it delivers performance as like the most flagship smartphones do. The Galaxy S10 Lite is cheaper than Galaxy S10 but it ships with last year’s flagship Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC. Performance-wise the phone is not LITE at all.

Samsung trying to solve a problem faced by young generation people. There is some youth who prefer performance over premium features basically they are bound with their budget. In this category, OnePlus took all the opportunities from all flagship makers like Samsung and Apple. To impress youths Samsung introduces Galaxy S10 Lite that ships flagship performance but with some limited features. Surprisingly youths are liking Galaxy S10 Lite and it gains popularity among the young generation.

The Galaxy S20 Lite alternatively called the Fan edition, it will be the successor of Galaxy S10 Lite which will bring improvements to establish itself to a new category of smartphones. A source says that it is under development and it will have two models SM-G780(Global) and SM-G781(US). The SM-G780 model will arrive in two variants with 5G and without 5G while, the SM-G781 will be only 5G.

As far as the performance is concerned, the phone might ship with Snapdragon 865 Soc. The whole Galaxy S10 uses Snapdragon 855, now the Galaxy S20 also followed the same philosophy so we can expect the Galaxy S20 Lite with Snapdragon 865 SoC.

The name does not matter, leave it on Samsung to follow their naming convention. However, the chances are high for Galaxy S20 Lite cause the Galaxy S10 Lite already gains popularity among youths. The price and other features are not disclosed yet, however, the price of the phone will be under $800.
