After the global debut of the Huawei MatePad T8 tablet back in May this year. The company had teased its availability in Indian in July. Now, the tablet has been launched in India at the price of an entry-level phone. The tablet has arrived in the country two variants LTE and the Wi-Fi only of a single storage configuration of 2GB+32GB. The LTE variant is slightly expensive than the Wi-Fi only variant. While offering a single colour option to choose Deepsea Blue, exclusively available on Flipkart.

Huawei MatePad T8 Price and availability
The tablet has arrived in the entry-level segment with two variants. The LTE variant priced at ₹10,999 (around $149) whereas the Wi-Fi only model priced at ₹9,999 (around $136). That offer full metal body with single colour option Deepsea Blue. The tablet is available for pre-order on Flipkart with an initial discount offer valid until September 14, 2020. During this time period, the LTE version of the tablet discounted to ₹9,999 i.e ₹1000 off. After the time period, the tablet will be available on open sale with the regular price tag.
Features and Specifications
Upfront, the tablet is built around an HD+ resolution (1280×800) display of size 8″ inch. Around 4.9mm Bazzel on both left and right side while having 80% screen-to-body ratio and a 2MP selfie camera sensor at the top. Around the back, there we have a single camera sensor of 5MP.
Under the hood, there is an octa-core system from MediaTek MT8768 SoC. The SoC configured in 4XCortex-A53 at 2.0GHz & 4XCortex-A53 at 1.5GHz CPU cores. Besides, it bundled with IMG G38320 650 GPU and 2GB RAM alongside 32GB onboard storage. Further, we have an option to storage expansion through a dedicated MicroSD card up to 512GB. The system on the tablet runs on EMUI 10.1 custom skin based on Android 10. While it lacks Google play support, whereas it ships with Huawei AppGallery. The system fueled by a 5100mAh battery capable of delivering 12hours of media playback.
At the connectivity side, the tablet has 4G LTE and Wi-Fi only variant. Apart from the network connectivity, it includes MicroUSB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 5.0, USB OTG and GPS.
