POCO F2 Pro global variant launched – is it powerful?

The Xiaomi’s Redmi K30 Pro rebranded as Poco F2 Pro was officially unveiled as the new flagship of the Poco family. The phone has the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC under the hood with 5G support. The key highlights of the phone are a new design gradient back panel, proprietary liquid cooling, Wi-Fi 6, and 64MP ring-shaped quad camera.

As its successor Poco F1, this also falls under the premium mid-range segment. The phone features 6.67″ inches AMOLED FullHD+ display, pop-up selfie camera, LiquidCooling tech. Furthermore, 3.5mm audio jack still present, and a bunch of other premium features.

The display

HDR10 is the most demanding feature in this present era. The phone has 6.67″ inches FullHD+ AMOLED display(2400X1080p) with HDR10+ support and brightness up to 1200 nits protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with 20:9 aspect ratio.

Poco F2 Pro – the internals

The phone has the latest Qualcomm’s flagship octa-core Snapdragon 865 processor, coupled with Adreno 650GPU. It comes at two variant options 6GB and 8GB RAM (LPDDR5) and internal storage(UFS 3.1) from 128GB to 256GB. The rear Quad camera setup consists of a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor, 5MP macro lens, 13MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, it comes with a pop-up 20MP selfie camera. The Poco F2 Pro is powered by a 4700mAh battery backed by 30W fast charging support.

In terms of connectivity, it includes 5G support, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and GPS.

Is it powerful?

The phone has given a tagline for this device “Powerfully Cool”. While considering the feature on paper it really powerful LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory management system. That definitely will get a boom of performance.

Poco F2 Pro price and availability

When exactly the device will be available in India and price is yet unknown. Though sale goes globally through online retainers like Gearbest and Aliexpress. Soon it will be available on Amazon, Lazada, Shopee, Poco.net, and among all other e-commerce sites.

6GB/128GB variant priced at €499 (roughly $540) while 8GB/256GB variant priced at €599 (roughly $650). Considering all its feature the price is pretty decent which will definitely give tough competition to OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.
