Poco M2 Pro Launched in India: Tweaked version of Redmi Note 9 Pro
The wait is over! the Poco M2 Pro finally makes its way to the launch event in India. It is the third lineup from Poco in India after Poco F and Poco X series. This Poco M2 Pro is the tweaked version of Redmi Note 9 Pro in the first place and selling at the same price. So, what’s the big deal? literally nothing extra in the Poco M2 Pro except 33W fast charging and 2Pi nano-coating. In other words, Poco gives you the same Redmi Note 9 Pro device with a slight improvement over the mistakes which they did in the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Poco M2 Pro Features and Specs
Starting from the display, there you will find a FullHD+ screen of 6.67″ inches with a punch-hole on the top. Besides, the display gives you a 20:9 aspect ratio viewing experience with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 450nits of peak brightness. Beneath the punch-hole, there is a 16MP selfie camera sensor ships with preloaded night mode. While on the back it is a glass panel with the same Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There you will find a camera unit of the Quad-camera sensor along with the LED flash. The camera unit consists of a 48MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera sensor, a 5MP macro camera sensor, and a 2MP depth camera sensor.
Under the hood, it is the same processor used in Redmi Note 9 Pro. It is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor. The processor is the combination of 2×2.3 GHz Kryo 465 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 465 Silver cores fabricated in an 8nm process. Besides, the processor is coupled with Adreno 618 GPU, 6GB LPDDR4x RAM along with UFS 2.1 storage support for onboard storage. Further, it can be expanded via a microSD card for up to 512GB. The phone runs on MIUI 11 on the top of Android 10 out of the box. Further, the system gets a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
In terms of connectivity, the phone has including 4G LTE, USB Type-C connector, 3.5mm Audio Jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, and others.
Price, Variant, and Availability
The phone will go on sale on 14th July 2020 at 12PM (local time) via an e-retail Flipkart. The price of the phone is set for ₹13,999 for the 4GB-64GB variant. While the mid variant 6GB-64GB is set for ₹14,999 and the top variant is cost ₹16,999 which is the 6GB-128GB variant.
In the Poco M2 Pro, you get an extra storage variant in comparison to Redmi Note 9 Pro. The M2 Pro has three variants in total 4GB-64GB, 6GB-64GB, and 6GB-128GB. While the Redmi Note 9 Pro offers the same storage variants except the 6GB-64GB variant. The M2 Pro has three color options to choose from. The colors are Green and Greener, Out of Blue, and Two Shades of Black.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro is out of stock now. It will be available on 14th July alongside The Poco M2 Pro.
