Redmi 9C And Redmi 9A Launched In Malaysia: Price and Features
After the leaks and teasers finally Xiaomi Redmi 9C and Redmi 9A make their official way to the launch. Xiaomi has announced these two toned-down versions of Redmi 9 in the Malaysian market. In the teaser, Xiaomi says that it has a bigger display and a bigger battery. Let’s find out what it has to offer us in the first place. This duo comes under the entry-level Android Smartphone segment, in that segment a decent performance and a well-packed battery is concerned. It fulfills all the concerns on paper, let me give you a brief introduction to each of them below.

Redmi 9A Features and Specs
The Xiaomi 9A has a 6.53″ inches HD+ IPS LCD display, further, it has a water-drop notch on top. Beneath the notch, there you will find a 5MP selfie camera sensor. While on the back there is a Square shaped camera unit of triple cameras. The camera unit contains a 13MP main camera sensor, a 5MP Macro sensor, and a 2MP depth camera sensor.
As far as the performance is concerned, it has a MediaTek Helio G25 octa-core processor. The processor consists of 8X2.0GHz Cortex-A53 cores fabricated in a 12nm process. Besides, it coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU of 650MHz. The phone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top of that, while 5000mAh battery powers the system with 10W charging support.
In terms of connectivity, it has a USB 2.0 Type-C connector, Fingerprint Sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and others.

The Xiaomi Redmi 9C is just a slight upgrade over the Redmi 9A apart from the processor rest of the phone remain as same as the Redmi 9A.

Besides, it coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU of 680MHz. The phone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on the top. While a 5000mAh battery powers the system with 10W charging support.
As far as the connectivity is concerned, it has a USB 2.0 Type-C connector, Fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and others.
Price, Variant, and Availability
Both of the phones announced on 30th June in the Malaysian market but did not reveal the price of this duo. However, we have managed to get further information about the storage variants. Both of the phones have a 2GB-32GB base variant and the Redmi 9C gets an additional variant of 3GB-32GB storage options.
The Redmi 9A costs about RM359 (roughly ₹6,300) for the base variant 2GB-32GB. While the Redmi 9C costs about RM429 (roughly ₹7,500) for the base variant 2GB-32GB.
Apart from storage variants, the Redmi 9A has three color options to choose from Midnight Grey, Peacock Green, and Twilight Blue. While the Redmi 9C also offers three color options to choose from Midnight Grey, Sunrise Orange, and Twilight Blue. Further, no words regarding the Indian launch. This duo will be available on or after 7th July in the Malaysian market via an e-retailer Lazada.
