Redmi 9i Launched with Helio G25 SoC, 4GB+128GB Memory, 5000mAh
Despite the launch of Redmi 9A back in July, Xiaomi has unleashed yet another Redmi 9 in the family. This new edition dubbed Redmi 9i and will be joining the Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi 9, Redmi 9C and the Redmi 9A in India. As per the specification goes, it has almost no difference with the recently launched Redmi 9A. However, the new Redmi 9i offers more storage options than the Redmi 9A while the rest of the specification remains unchanged.
It is not about the name, it is about clarity. With the random launch of Redmi 9 devices, the company creating confusion among the consumers. Personally I feel there is no need for launching the same hardware specification with a new name. It could be better if the Xiaomi re-announce the phone with more storage option. Like they have been doing in the Redmi Note 9 series, introducing new colour options.
