Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Announced with Snapdragon865, 120Hz display

Back in June this year when the existence of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE comes into the lite. Last week the South Korean giant has announced an Unpacked event, as “Unpacked for every Fan”. Which was scheduled on September 23, now the S20 FE has been officially announced. It has delivered more than we are expecting! style and performance smushed together. That resulted in beauty with beast performance and a Fan favourite.

It will be tough to choose since the S20 FE offers six colour options to choose from Cloud Lavender, Cloud Navy, Cloud Mint, Cloud Orange, Cloud White, and Cloud Red. The design aspect is inherited from the recently launched Galaxy Note 20 series. The camera module looks the same as Note 20 except for the camera specifications. The phone has shipped in two network variants as we have already reported, 4G LTE and the 5G variant.

The price varies depending on the markets, in the US the S20 FE priced $699 (128GB + 5G). Whereas, in the UK the same (128GB + 5G) model is priced at £699 and the 4G LTE (128GB + 4G) variant priced at £599. While in the European market, the 128GB + 5G model is priced at €769 and the 4G LTE (128GB + 4G LTE) priced at €669. Whereas, in Europe, the company announced the 256GB model too only with 5G.

In India, the phone has been listed on the official website without the price details. It seems like Samsung India is planning for another event in India for the S20 FE. The S20 FE is available for pre-order across the markets while it will be unleashed from October 2 this year.

Upfront, the device is built around an FHD+ resolution Super AMOLED display of size 6.5″ inch with a punch hole at the top. Further, the screen has 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, always-on-display, fingerprint scanner underneath. While the screen is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Punch hole on the phone is considered the smallest hole than any other phones. Beneath the punch hole, it has a 32MP selfie camera sensor that is capable of taking 4K videos at 30FPS.

Around the back, there is has a camera module consisting of an array of tripe camera sensors vertically aligned and an LED flash. The camera sensors are a 12MP main camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultrawide camera sensor. The rear camera setup is capable of taking 4K videos at 30FPS and Slowmotion capture at 960FPS while having OIS and 3X optical zoom support.

Under the hood, two variants got different octa-core system at the helm. The 5G variant has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 whereas, the 4G variant has the Exynos 990. Further, the phone has bundled with LPDDR5 8GB RAM and UFS 3.1 storage support of 256GB. The system on the phone runs on Samsung’s OneUI 2.5 out of the box. While the system fueled by a 4500mAh battery that has cobbled with 25W fast charging mechanism. However, the box contains a 15W adapter. You need to buy the 25W adapter extensively. Further, it has the support for 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging for charging the accessories like the Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watch.

As per the connectivity, it includes USB 3.0 Type-C port, Dedicated microSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1 and all the required sensors including GPS, Gyro, E-Compass, etc.
