Redmi Note 9 Could Launch In Indida With 6GB RAM Variant
Earlier in the Q2 on April 30, 2020, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 was announced Globally. Now it is heading towards the Indian market. The launch of the Indian version of Redmi Note 9 is scheduled on July 20, teased by the company. The phone has two RAM variants 3GB and 4GB which was launched globally. But some reports suggesting that it may skip the 3GB RAM variant and will introduce a new 6GB RAM model as the top variant in India. However, the internal storage configuration withe rumored 6GB RAM model remains in question. Since the 4GB RAM model has 128GB of internal storage configuration. The Indian version 6GB RAM model likely to follow the same configuration.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Features and Specs
Starting the upfront, it is an FHD+ IPS LCD display of size 6.53″ inches with a punch-hole cutout. Besides, the screen has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio viewing experience with 450nits of peak brightness and protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on front. Beneath the punch hole, there is a 13MP selfie camera sensor capable of taking 1080p videos at 30fps. While on the backside of the phone, there is a Quad-camera unit just above the fingerprint scanner. The Quad-camera unit consisting of a 48MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera sensor, and the rest two of them is a depth camera sensor and a micro camera sensor of 2MP each.
Under the hood, there you will find an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. The processor combines 2x2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6x1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores fabricated in the 12nm process. Further, it couples with Mali G52 MC2 GPU, 6GB RAM max of 128GB onboard storage along with SD card expansion option upt0 512GB. The phone runs on MIUI 11 on the top of the Android 10 core system image. The system is fueled by a 5000mAh battery along with 18W fast charging support. Further, the charging system is capable of reverse charging at 9W.
As far as the connectivity is concerned, the phone has full fledge 4G LTE support. Other connectivity options including a USB Type-C connector, WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and others.
Price, Variant, and Availability
The Global variant of Redmi Note 9 is currently selling at $159 (roughly ₹11,200) on Banggood for the base variant 3GB-64GB. While the top variant 128GB-4GB is selling at $169 (roughly ₹12,500). But in the case of the Indian launch, the scenarios will be a little different as compared to the Global version. Since the base variant is expected to be 4GB-64GB model hence it could be launched at the starting price of ₹13,499 in India. While the top variant 6GB-128GB is expected to be under ₹15,999.
The Global variant has three color options to choose from Forest Green, Midnight Grey, and Polar White. Since the company has confirmed the launch date it could be available for purchase from the same day.
